Coed Faen is a well-regarded holiday cottage, praised for its peaceful location, comfortable furnishings, and family-friendly amenities. Guests appreciate the quiet residential setting, proximity to local attractions, and the home's garden. While some cleanliness issues were raised, they were addressed by the owner, and many found the property clean and well-maintained.
Cleanliness scores varied, with some guests finding the property spotless and others experiencing issues, particularly in the bathrooms. The owner's responsiveness to cleanliness concerns positively influenced the score.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, convenience, and proximity to local amenities like shops, pubs, and the beach. The scenic and rural surroundings added to the appeal.
Guests found the house comfortable, with cosy sofas, comfortable beds, and a pleasant garden. The provision of fans for hot weather was appreciated, although one guest noted the master bedroom could get quite warm.
Facilities were generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space. However, some maintenance issues like a non-working dishwasher and a shower head needing propping up affected the score.
While guests mentioned appreciating the provision of toys, books, and household items, there were no specific references to gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score thoughtfulness based on gifts, and the score is set to null.

This cottage was a nice 'home away from home' while my brother and I stayed for 5 nights to explore the Isle. We each got our own bedroom and bathroom. Relaxing in the living room while watching local channels was a nice way to wind down at the end of every day. It's listed that 'esentials' weren't provided in this listing, so we left our laundry detergent/body soap to pay it forward. The Vine Inn had a wonderful Sunday Roast and the Premier convenience store was just a short walk from the place and had a lot of options for being so small. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful accomodation, lovely location in the village of St Helens with pub, beach and cafes.Spotlessly clean with plenty of cutlery and crockery and all the mod cons such as dishwasher & washing machine making it a great self catering base. We loved seeing the regular visits of a little red squirrel in the garden, very engaging with his Mission Impossible antics! It's so easy to get around the IOW by car & there was also a good bus link to Ryde. All in all a great holiday & we hope to return soon.

Comfortable family home in peaceful neighbourhood, met our needs for the 1 night we stayed. Double bed mattres in master bedroom not very comfortable. Had a good dinner at The Vine Inn nearby and excellent breakfast at The View.
