Guests enjoy the garden, local amenities, and the property's suitability as a base for exploring the island. The house is well-equipped, offering a home-from-home experience with countryside views and a seaside glimpse.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the property well-maintained, while others reported issues with bathroom cleanliness and dog hairs. The owner was responsive to concerns, but some guests remained unsatisfied despite efforts to address the issues.

Guests find the house very comfortable, with a particularly comfy sofa and beds. The property is described as cool during hot weather and provides a cosy atmosphere. However, some noted the heat in the upper rooms and the need for fans.

Beautiful accomodation, lovely location in the village of St Helens with pub, beach and cafes.Spotlessly clean with plenty of cutlery and crockery and all the mod cons such as dishwasher & washing machine making it a great self catering base. We loved seeing the regular visits of a little red squirrel in the garden, very engaging with his Mission Impossible antics! It's so easy to get around the IOW by car & there was also a good bus link to Ryde. All in all a great holiday & we hope to return soon.

I was very shocked to discover that there was no pillow or mattress protectors provided on any of the beds. This is standard practice for renting out for holiday let’s surly. If you could see the stained mattress in the master bedroom you’d be horrified. The house is however lovely and quiet. With a bit of tweaking here and there would be an excellent holiday let.

Just back from a week at Coed Faen. The house was very comfortable and we were pleased to have a home from home as we had some high winds and heavy rain. The garden had some lovely furniture but it was too windy to sit out. However, in the late afternoon it was very pleasant to sit with the back door open enjoying the sun. The sofa was very comfortable and I would have liked to have brought it home ! We ate at the Vine pub 3 dinners and 1 lunch, the food was very good and its very welcoming.. St Helens is a quiet residential area and is a good base. Nowhere is very far to get to on the island. There is a large Tesco Extra 3 miles away and a corner shop a few yards away which is open until late.We had a dog with us so having the greens literally yards from the house was brilliant for first and last leg stretch each day. The scenery all around is very rural. It may be important to note that the master bedroom with ensuite is on the second floor. Just going up and down the stairs was a workout and as heat rises it could get pretty hot. I made sure I opened the bathroom window for a while each day to keep the room aired. The owner has invested in fans which I can imagine were necessary in the heatwaves. All in all a nice modern house, in a good position and we would return.
