The cottage received high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'really clean' and 'very clean'. This suggests a well-maintained property.

The location is described as peaceful with gorgeous sea views, though one guest mentioned difficulty in accessing the property due to a road closure. Overall, the location is highly regarded.

Comfort is consistently highlighted, with mentions of 'comfortable and warm' and 'really comfortable' beds. However, one review suggested the second bedroom was small for adults, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities are generally good, but some guests experienced issues with the washing machine not being plumbed in and a lack of response to reported problems. This indicates room for improvement in maintenance.

The interior was furnished beautifully. Everything you could possibly want was available even hot water bottles. The only thing was that it wasn't suitable for four elderly ladies. The stairs were very steep and the outside path was also steep and a bit dangerous for us. It is more suited for a family.

Could you please put note on 'how to get there' section? Followed satnav which took us to Shanklin, then discovered road to Ventnor was closed due to major landslip last December, which we weren't aware of. Once we reached Ventnor we used satnav again, ignoring a couple of 'Road Closed' signs and reached cottage OK. At least we weren't troubled by passing traffic!

Would not recommend this for four adults ( small second bedroom with no cupboards) would suit two children. Downstairs bathroom floods when taking a shower and unfortunately for us neither of the bathroom lights worked so we used a torch at night, this was reported to Sykes but nothing happened. The garden is in need of a lot of attention, we did pull out a lot of weeds which improved it a bit.
