Had a great time while staying at Hallmark Lodge. We stayed for 4 nights with our terrier dog and it was perfect. The lodge itself is very well presented and has all the home comforts you need. A well equipped kitchen. A comfy sitting room with TV and a quite area to sit and read or relax with no distractions apart from the sound of sheep grazing in the next field.The upstairs was great with the bedroom and bathroom on one level and the fact that the light streamed in during the day made it easy to get ready in the morning especially for hair and make-up. The curtains that go across the mezzanine keep the light out so no early morning wake up with the brightness.The dog was well catered for with a field next to the house for our use allowing him to run around and let off steam, although he was quite distract by the sheep in the next field!The patio space immediately outside the back doors was great for early morning sun while having coffee & croissant's and the rattan sofa/chairs were great for late afternoon sunshine with glass of wine after a busy day exploring nearby.There is a lovely pub within walking distance about 1.4 miles away and also a Tesco superstore a 10 minute drive away for provisions if needed.We will definitely be back as we were made to feel welcome, our dog loved it and we had a lovely break.Thank you for having us.
