  Lovely cottage in a great location. Very quiet, clean and comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a two week stay over summer. Parking is easy, the owners of the cottage are very helpful, and there are lovely neighbours in the adjoining cottage. The wifi as it was a bit hit and miss & rather slow during our stay but for us this wasn’t a huge problem. There is so much to see and do within a short drive in any direction from the cottage and the owners thoughtfully provide lots of brochures and information about the local (and wider) area. It is also only about an hour by train into central London from Headcorn station (about a 15 minute drive from the cottage). We fully recommend Penhill Cottage as a place to stay.

  An exceptional property decorated to a very high standard. We had a very comfortable stay in this delightful house and were greeted with a thoughtful and well received welcome pack of milk, goodies and a bottle of wine. The owners were very welcoming but allowed us plenty of space. The property itself is in a quiet village with very little traffic noise but plenty of birdsong. It is ideally located with Rye and the coast beyond 20-30 minutes away. You have the choice of two pubs nearby, Ferry Inn and The Black Lion at Appledore. All in all one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Thank you for a wonderful short break.

  Thank you so much Zoe and team for a wonderful family stay at the Harbour East House.

  We all loved it so much and intend to come again. The online photos don't really do it justice. A really lovely warm home with everything we could have wished for ;) From breakfast in the kitchen to Sunday roast in the dining room; plenty of space, washing facilities for us all. Comfy beds and incredibly soft rugs. The lovely fire in the lounge adding warmth to our conversations. We played Mulkii on the lawn and enjoyed a local 3hour walk and a relaxing morning by our very own pond. It was more than we could have wished for, thank you so much, well done to you and your team x

  We have had the best week staying at Penhill cottage, it had everything we needed, and the fine touches made the stay even more comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and beautiful, bats fly around the garden at dusk. The local sheep are always happy to great you. You really are in the countryside, but only a short drive to some lovely villages, and good places to eat. We found so much to do around the area, that we haven’t covered everything and will be rebooking to return next year.

  The Coach House lies in a wonderfully peaceful setting in the grounds of the owners property. It is very well equipped and is filled with interesting artefacts which give it a lot more character than many properties. Erna and John were lovely hosts and the welcome pack of milk wine and biscuits was much appreciated. Lovely areas to sit outside including the adjacent meadow which also belongs to the hosts and affords wonderful views over the Kent countryside. Would highly recommend for a perfect holiday.
