Deal 4.6 miles. In the pretty hamlet of East Studdal, not far from the coastal town of Deal in Kent, is this fantastic bungalow, Glynde affording spacious and beautifully decorated accommodation. Perfectly suited for a family not wanting to be too far from the coast, or perhaps a group of friends looking to explore the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For preparing your evening meals you will be impressed with the stylish monochrome kitchen, excellent for creating a family favourite to be served in the dining room next door, complete with vintage wood table and chairs, for some quality family time. When sleep is calling, head to the other side of the bungalow to find the bedrooms; filled with pretty and neutral decor, and ample storage for your personal items in each room there are three to choose from, a king-size with en-suite shower room, another king-size and a twin room with 3’ singles, the latter two served by the family bathroom which contains an electric shower over bath, hand-held shower as well, basin and a separate WC next door. On summer days you can run around with the little ones on the large lawned area to the back, or watch them play from one of the plush chairs in the conservatory, with an ice cold drink in hand. You can use the outdoor table and chairs for some alfresco dining on a balmy evening, and enjoy the evening light for as long as possible. Over in the seaside town of Deal just a short drive away, you can find the long and pebbled Deal Beach, with a pier which dates back to the 1950s, a delightful spot for a stroll and walking south of the pier will bring you to Deal Castle, one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England and among the earliest of coastal forts, you can explore the whole of the castle, with activities for children as well. For a pleasant bike ride, cycle along the beachfront from Deal Castle over to Walmer Castle, another Tudor fortress which evolved to become a stately-home for famous names including the Duke of Wellington and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. For keen walkers travel over to the Kent Downs AONB to immerse yourself in the beautiful landscapes, with biodiversity-rich habitats providing homes to many plants and wildlife, dramatic views and scenery, and water and wetlands it is a truly special area to visit. It was equipped witth all the things you would need, to cater for six people, including all the pots, pans and serving dishes that would be required to prepare a full roast dinner. The conservatory was spacious and cosy on a sunny afternoon. The picture of the garden on the website seems to show an open garden and is an old photo. The garden is fully enclosed and dog proof and our dog was free to run around without the worry of her escaping. The roads in the immediate area are somewhat narrow in places but there are plenty of passing spaces. Richard the owner met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful, making sure we knew about all the facilities available. We enjoyed our stay at Glynde, and wiil be rebooking next year.

Richard the owner came to greet us and again the day before we left . He was very helpful and supplied us with wine and biscuits upon our arrival.
