Guests say

Guests consistently praise Solton Manor for its grandeur, spaciousness, and charm, ideal for large gatherings and family celebrations. The property's historical features and beautiful grounds add to its appeal, with a games room and hot tub frequently mentioned as highlights. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment, with the property's location being convenient for local outings.

The property is generally described as clean and well-maintained. One mention of flies suggests a possible isolated issue, but this does not seem to be a recurring theme across the reviews.

The location is highly praised for its easy access to Dover and local attractions, with guests enjoying outings and the proximity to the Lantern Inn. The scenic grounds are also appreciated for walks.

Guests find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and cozy settings. Some guests mention a lack of hot water on one occasion and issues with oven size, but overall comfort is rated highly.

Facilities like the games room and hot tub are well-received, though there are comments about the hot tub not working at one point and some kitchen equipment being insufficient. Maintenance responsiveness is positively noted.

While guests appreciate the provision of toiletries and a surprise freezer, there is no mention of gifts that would influence the thoughtfulness score. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

We had more than enough to do during our week including walks from the manor, relaxing in the hot tub, playing table tennis & visiting The Lantern Inn (which was superb!). Karen and the team at Solton manor were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. It was the perfect place for us to catch up with our friends and family and explore white cliffs!

Beautiful grounds too. Lovely hot tub. A bit too hot first day but we got it turned down 1' and was perfect. Great games room, darts, table tennis, football table, piano. Had a lot of laughs. Enormous dining table, easily sits 22 people. Lots of games in the tv room. Very interesting house. I got lost most of the time. There are so many rooms and doors. The floors and ceilings are very interesting, with nothing straight. The fire places are enormous. It's a great house for hide and seek!! There's a further lounge area upstairs from the games room which I didn't get to sit in. Bedrooms all very nice. Spacious. Lovely comfy beds which can be arranged as singles or doubles (well super king). Bathrooms very clean. Toiletries supplied. All in all would definitely recommend and would come back. Good location, easily accessible to Dover castle, and cliffs and town centre.

The location was perfect, with easy access to Dover & its castle . The house was clean and well-maintained, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Karen & Leianne were very helpful with any questions I had. The games room kept the big & little children occupied & the hot tub was perfect. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
