Guests say

The Plough is a charming cottage in Bampton, appreciated for its excellent location and beautiful garden. Guests find it clean, well-equipped, and spacious, ideal for family holidays. The village's friendly atmosphere and proximity to attractions add to its appeal, despite some concerns over maintenance and comfort.

Cleanliness is generally praised, with the property described as 'beautifully clean and warm' and 'clean and tidy'. However, one review mentions a smell of cigarette smoke and a dirty blind, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly regarded, with the cottage being within easy reach of local attractions and amenities. The village of Bampton is described as friendly and compact, with convenient parking.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. While the cottage is found to be 'lovely comfortable' by some, others note issues with soft sofas and thin mattresses, indicating that some guests may find the furnishings lacking in support.

Facilities are well-received for being well-equipped, but several reviews point out the need for maintenance and deep cleaning, particularly in the kitchen. The washing machine noise and worn furnishings suggest a need for updates.

There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Nice location, clean and tidy, our only minor gripe was that we found the towels small.

We found the cottage beautifully clean and warm. The location was excellent - within easy reach of lots of beautiful places, including Kelmscott, Blenheim, Burford, Oxford etc. The local people were also helpful and very friendly, and the several pubs were a short walk into the compact village. We were there for one week, and never got bored. It was a really lovely break. Would highly recommend.

Lovely comfortable cottage in an excellent location. Having read a previous review I was slightly concerned. On arrival the property was very clean tidy and smelt beautiful. Everything was supplied that you could need and more!! My only slight issue was the lack of frosted glass in the bathroom, it means you have to pull the blind down when using the room.
