Goodwood is a charming and cosy cottage located in the pretty courtyard at Bruern and is one of the two cottages built originally for the stable grooms who would have worked at the Abbey.

The front door opens into a little lobby where you can take off muddy boots and coats before entering the cosy country style kitchen with its fine granite worktops and Belfast sink. Leading off the kitchen is the truly noble 19′ square drawing-room/dining-room with its elegant furnishings, beautiful cushioned window seats and open fire.

A large circular mahogany pedestal dining table is large enough for everyone to sit round and enjoy those celebration dinners.

The stairs lead from the kitchen up to three well-appointed and tastefully furnished bedrooms.

Bedroom one has a handsome, mahogany four-poster hung in white and an en-suite shower-room.

At the other end of the corridor, there is a twin-bedded room with two handsome wrought iron beds and a single bedroom with bamboo four-poster bed curtained in white. They share a family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath.

Goodwood has its own enclosed garden, with a lawn, yew hedges and terrace with garden furniture, umbrella and barbecue; it is surrounded by yellow and cream roses, honeysuckle, and lilies. It faces south-east towards the entrance of the Abbey, which is framed by two enormous copper sycamore trees. Opposite the terrace is a romantic arbour, with its back to the yew hedge.

Goodwood Cottage is part of Bruern Cottages and as such, enjoys access to a communal games room, two spa treatment rooms, indoor pool, and gym area. There is a children's playground at the property and there are also rental bicycles available for all too. Standard bicycles are free of charge and E-bikes are £30 per bike, per day. Two well-behaved dogs welcome (additional charge of £15 per dog, per night).

Children and infants welcome. Travel cot, highchair and stair gate available on request (please provide your own cot linen).

A gas barbecue is provided.

The bedding is non-feather.

A hairdryer is provided in each bedroom.

Please be aware of the slight slope on the landing leading to bedrooms two and three.

There is ample designated on-site parking.

Goodwood Cottage is part of Bruern Cottages. Bruern Cottages offer unlimited access to a communal games room, two spa treatment rooms (bookable via the Estate office), an indoor pool and a gym area for guests to use.

There are bicycles available to rent for the day, by the main office. Standard bicycles are free of charge and E-bikes are £30 per bike, per day.

There is an electric car charging point available to use on-site and it is free of charge. Please enquire at the Estate office.

Children must be supervised at all times when using the indoor swimming pool.

Sorry, children are not permitted in the gym.

A river runs through the estate and leads to a weir that is gated off. Please supervise children at all times.
