The rooftop terrace is a highlight, offering a unique vantage point for maritime activity. The host, Anna, is frequently praised for her attentiveness and helpfulness. While some guests have noted maintenance issues, the majority have had positive experiences, enjoying the property's charm and proximity to points of interest.

Most guests found the property clean and welcoming, with particular praise for the immaculate bathrooms. However, there were isolated reports of stains on the carpet and damp in some bedrooms, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness standards.

The location is highly praised for its superb views over the waterfront and proximity to local sights and attractions. Guests appreciate the ease of access to the Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays, and the Isle of Wight ferries, making it an excellent base for exploration.

Guests generally find the beds comfortable and the living spaces homely. The property's layout across multiple floors is noted for providing good exercise, though some guests mentioned the inconvenience of small en-suite bathrooms.

While the property boasts a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a faulty heating system, outdated alarm, and challenging blind strings. These concerns indicate that the facilities could benefit from attention and updates.

The house is fitted out with everything you could possibly want and the owner is very attentive and shares her good knowledge and helpfulness with you from the start. The only concern is that the lounge furniture could be replaced as it’s quite worn now and you have to move the seats/backs and sides around to get a decent firm chair. However we would probably still return for a third visit because there’s always something to see and do.

Brilliant that 3 of the rooms with double beds could be made into singles. Roof top terrace was lovely and we had gorgeous weather. Very close to all amenities. Good comms from owner.

  • Marianne

Lovely to sit on the roof terrace during the days and evenings, watching all the ships and ferries passing by.
