For those of you looking for a more interesting day out the historic towns of Chichester and Arundel are well worth a visit as is the leafy Goodwood Estate, peacefully located on the edge of the South Downs National Park. We had the most wonderful stay at Ocean Beach House and couldn’t have asked for more. The house was absolutely perfect – spotless throughout and equipped with everything we needed. We were greeted with prosecco and chocolates on arrival, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel welcome.We had our elderly nan staying with us, and having the downstairs bedroom and bathroom made everything so much easier and more comfortable for her. The layout of the house really suited our family perfectly.One of our favourite spots was the balcony off the main room – it was so peaceful sitting out there in the morning with a coffee, looking out towards the sea. The location is fantastic. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the beachfront and spent a day at Butlin’s, which the kids absolutely loved – and it was only a 10-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient.The beds and pillows were super comfy, and we all slept really well. We were lucky with the weather in February, but we can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer with the seaside just a stone’s throw away.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Ocean Beach House to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable seaside break.

This house is superb. From the moment we stepped inside we felt at home. It was spotlessly clean, stylish but practically furnished and comfortable. The kitchen diner sitting room is cleverly designed to separate the area but keep them family friendly. The appliances on the whole were good. We would have liked a more up to date toaster and kettle both of which were rather tired looking. It was nice to have the Nespresso machine but a cafetière would have been useful for our use. There is a copious supply of crockery and cutlery and a good range of utensils. The glasses supplied were useful in that the range covered all our needs and the number of guests. The layout of the house was perfect for us. The downstairs cloakroom and shower were a nice bonus as was the small sitting room and double bedroom on the ground floor. The staircase is a little steep especially for our toddler but as it was staggered it was manageable. Upstairs the bedrooms were a delight. The master was spacious, well furnished and comfortable. The bathroom was also excellent with a lovely deep bath. It was so special to have a balcony and a view of the sea!The bunk beds were a real hit with our young boys. There was enough space to house their clothes although it was a small room. The third double room was quiet being at the back of the house. The bed was comfortable and cosy. The cloakroom and shower room upstairs was sited well for the smaller children. We were delighted with the quality of the towels and the linen - a really nice touch. The small drive was good for us as was the courtyard at the back. It was nice to know that the children were secure outside with a reasonable amount of space to play. The door from the courtyard to the small downstairs sitting room was really useful. The location of the house was so good for us. Being right in the beach meant the children could search for shells and play there without having to be taken in the car or have a long walk. Its nearness to Butlin’s, the village, the park and eating places was a boon. It was a short drive to a retail park and local attractions. We visited the Roman villa at Fishbourne which was fascinating for children and adults and was only a 20 minute drive away. All in all we would highly recommend this house to anyone that enjoys a comfortable and we-equipped environment with all the comfort of home. Thank you for your attention to detail. It was really appreciated.

We had a lovely time at Ocean Beach. It really is right by the beach, probably less than 30m from it with lovely walks along the seafront in both directions (though you do have to get passed the Butlins on the Bognor side!). House is very well maintained, good design if you have kids as 4/5 bedrooms (we had one kid in the nook) are across the hall from the kitchen/living area so, noise didn't really travel and our little ones slept soundly. It's a great sized property and despite having 6 adults there, didn't feel on top of each other. Couple of feedback points: 1. While most of the provisions were very generous, would have been good to have some salt and oil about to avoid having to buy it all for a small use2. Would be good to have another set of cutlery, we got through the ones there very quickly between us all 3. Harder to fix but there is a lot of floorboard noise in and around the bunk bed room. Could be an issue if you've light sleepers in there
