A lovely, spacious five bedroomed house and a stylish one bedroomed oak lodge on the edge of the beautiful South Downs. Situated in a quiet hamlet beside the Goodwood Estate, just 2 miles from Chichester and perfect for Goodwood events - the house is within walking distance from the Motor Circuit and just 3 miles from the Races.
Within easy reach of London, yet surrounded by glorious countryside, the location is ideal for ‘coast and country’ holidays. The magnificent landscape of the National Park is just minutes away, while the coast is only a 15 - 20 minutes drive. The sandy expanse of the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering gives fabulous views over Chichester Harbour and across to the South Downs. While nearby Bognor Regis has all the ‘bucket and spade’ delights of a traditional seaside town. Explore the sailing villages of Itchenor, Bosham and Dell Quay or take a nature cruise around the Harbour AONB.
Heading inland, the cathedral city of Chichester offers Georgian elegance and plenty of pubs restaurants, cafes and independent shops to explore. The Weald & Downland Living Museum is just 5 1/2 miles away and gives a fascinating glimpse of rural life over a 950 year period. The medieval splendour of Arundel Castle and the historic market town of Midhurst, in the heart of the South Downs, are both about 10 miles from the property.
If you are looking for rest and relaxation the owners can also arrange for guest passes (please ask for costs) at the excellent Goodwood Health club which is within walking distance of House. The Club offers a gym, pool, tennis, sauna and steam rooms.
Oak House is beautifully furnished and offers comfortable and spacious accommodation. A ‘wow factor’ balcony for the Master bedroom gives fabulous views towards the Motor Circuit and the Flying Club. With views over gentle countryside and excellent spa facilites within walking distance, the property provides a charming rural escape
For larger groups, Goodwood Oak Lodge can also be rented at a discount, but please note the House is not suitable for hen/stag parties or holding a wedding. Situated in the grounds of the garden this stylish oak lodge has an open plan living area, a king size bedroom and pull out single bed and has a separate drive, garden and parking - so perfect for members of the group who might need a little more privacy away from the children!
