Travel Cots
A travel cot can be requested as part of your booking. Please be aware of the following:• Bedding is not provided.• The mattresses supplied are folding, thin and firm, as provided by the manufacturer.• You must follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.• Do not use an additional mattress or padded bedding, such as pillows or quilts.• Please bring your own suitable bedding, such as an infant sleeping bag.• Contact reception on 01202 622 434 for mattress dimensions if required.• Travel cots may not fit in the double/master bedrooms of some accommodation units. We stayed in lodge 13 and on first look we were happy but the decking was covered in leaves and debris even though it wasn't windy. The sofas were dirty, chairs had sticky jam on, the floors had food on. The cleanliness was not upto standard for a budget holiday, let alone a luxury retreat. Housekeeping came and cleaned the kitchen floor and wiped some dirt from the sofas (plus left a bottle of bubbly) but then we kept finding things that were wrong such as mouldy curtains and walls in the wardrobes, damaged/worn bathroom door handles, ear plug and left belongings under the beds and radiator. It was very tired looking and really needs some refurbishment. We also had mice come and visit. On the plus side any complaints were dealt with and the wear and tear issues have to be logged for closed period. Pest control came and put a trap down and Housekeeping came to clean up after the mice. The beds were comfy and it was very spacious for all 7 of us. We tried not to let it ruin our time together as we hadn't had a holiday for over a year. If you are staying I would advise to bring your own towels as the ones supplied are quite thin and one go in the hot-tub will soak the towel through. Also bring dishwasher tablets, washing pods (I washed towels and swimwear as we visited the beach too) and tea towels. Lidl is a short drive away and Big Tesco in Poole. We had a lovely holiday but it could have been better.

Nice location and lodge. Lodge looked a little worn in places, in need of bit of renovation. Lodge was not very clean. Not all areas were swept or vacuumed and was lots of dust. Dishwasher also leaked.

Facilities in the lodge were excellent. There is a small shop for necessities but we never used it as we bought everything we needed en route. The idea of visiting Wareham Lodge Retreat is to relax and enjoy the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Whilst here we visited Poole and Swanage, both within a short drive and then Weymouth. We enjoyed all these places.Friendly helpful staff and lovely surroundings what more could you want!!!Can’t wait to visit again Thank you 😊😊
