Enclosed front garden with garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Dorset has something for everyone. Close to the property, you will find Lytchett Matravers with local shops, pubs and restaurants. Further afield is the famous Dorset Jurassic Coastline. You will need more than a day to explore places like Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis and are all worth the visit. From award winning beaches to attractions such as boat trips and water sports the whole family will enjoy themselves. Poole Harbour is approx. 15-minute drive from Holly Hedge Farm which lays claim to the title of the second largest natural harbour in the world after Port Jackson, Sydney, this is a place of natural beauty with trips running daily to the famous Brownsea Island. Keep the eyes peeled for a red squirrel. For the golfer among us Bulbury Woods Golf Club is approximately 1-minute drive from the property where you will find a tree lined course for all abilities to enjoy. Back to the property is where to make more memories around the wood burner and outside enjoying the end of the summer sun. Beach 7 miles. Pub and restaurant 2 miles.

So we stayed at Owls Roost at Holly Hedge farm from the 24th to 31st of July..26.Myself&partner both in our late 50's&our 4 year old cockapoo/dog.The weather was extremely hot and there are many beautiful places to visit without too much travel. Especially as we had a very long journey to and home as we live in St Helens,Merseyside..NW .The hosts were very friendly and helpful.The cottage had everything you needed and more.Beautiful place,birds and 4 donkeys lol .Situated by a golf course. Lots of nature. You could hear the foxes calling at night. Sadly lots of road kill about, red deer x 3,badgers a few,a rabbit&squirrel. 😔The only negative for us both because we hadn't been before and you cannot see unto you get to a place we didn't like having the next much bigger holiday cottage right next to us..We had a very noisy family at first a mum,granny's ,2 young girls. Then another family of 6 parents,kids,grandparents..Where we live here at home we have very noisy neighbours/ families ,busy on road area so we needed the space and peace as that was what we wanted away from. Anyway we were out every day long days sightseeing ,beaches, etc and some times in the evening. It was just in the morning first thing was noisy and evenings sat out..You couldn't fault the actual place or location.Came back rested.Wishing we were there still..Tanned as though abroad ..

Mark and Julie were friendly and welcoming and the accommodation was exceptionally clean and well stocked with all we needed. The surroundings are peaceful with local amenities just a short drive away and there are plenty of interesting places to visit. We would thoroughly recommend a visit to Holly Hedge Farm.
