Mellydone Beder Del is a stunning, single-storey lodge situated on the outskirts of St Breward in Cornwall. Set within a large quarry and with two lakes, this unique retreat offers a first-class getaway for families and friends to Cornwall. Illuminated with natural light, the contemporary open-plan living space offers a delightful space to relax in the evening; take a seat on the sumptuous sofa before the Smart TV, tuning into your favourite on-demand shows or simply reminiscing over the holiday so far. Head to the breakfast bar and keep the chef of the group company whilst they get acquainted with all the mod cons, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, so you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to washing up! When the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the three bedrooms, each tastefully furnished with crisp white bed linen and enjoying en-suite facilities and Smart TVs, so you can resume your binge watching in bed! After the thrill and excitement of a day on the moors or enjoying the exhilarating lakes, relax in the hot tub out on the terrace, before returning to the lodge, or gather your loved ones for an alfresco meal. When it comes to dining out, you have two of the finest moorland pubs in Cornwall just two miles away; head to the award-winning Old Inn, dating back to the 11th century, or book a table at the Blisand Inn, famous for its quality range of real ale and former national CAMRA pub of the year award. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long, disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. Pop on your walking boots to venture into the rugged landscapes of Bodmin Moor, or head to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beaches resting along Cornwall’s northern coastline, including Polzeath Beach, Harlyn Bay Beach, and Tregardock Beach. Alternatively, you might prefer some sightseeing so visit the TV home of Doc Martin at Port Isaac or venture to Tintagel where the legend of King Arthur abounds at Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave. With so much to do close by, as well as being within reach of the north and south coast of Cornwall, a stay at Mellydone Beder Del promises life-long memories with your loved ones.

This is our third stay. Previously we have stayed in Costentyn lodge but this year we stayed in Mellydonen. All the lodges are beautiful, really well kitted out, everything has been thought out so well. We loved the position of Melly, with the most incredible views over Bodmin moor from the hot tub. The owners Kirsty and John are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. On a previous stay we got a flat tyre on the last evening. Kirsty helped us with food for the kids as we were supposed to be going out, and John helped us get to the garage the next day. Really went out of their way to help. Itâs perfectly located to visit the north coast of Cornwall, but also the surrounding areas which is more inland , and the village of St Breward is lovely too for gorgeous walks, and has a brilliant pub. Totally recommend the Sunday roast! We donât return every year as we always think we should try somewhere new, but then we have to come back as nowhere in Cornwall compares for us. We will definitely be back.

Kirsty and Paul were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The property itself was fantastic. The facilities were great and beautiful choices of furniture. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Bodmin Moor, near a lovely village and well placed to travel to places of interest around Cornwall, Torr Down Quarry holds its own beauty with 2 quarry lakes to swim in. Lots of space to enjoy outside the cabin and sitting in the hot tube looking at the stars was a highlight. Inside the property doesn't feel like a cabin, but a very well presented cosy bungalow. We will definitely be back

The layout of the property was exactly what we hoped for and a lot more. Amazing views from the hot tub. Cant wait to return.
