About this property

St Neot 4.5 miles. Tucked away on a farm valley on the edge of the scenic Bodmin Moor is this superb, detached farmhouse. Treveddoe Farmhouse offers a luxury base for up to eleven guests and their canine companions, benefitting from spacious living quarters, woodburning stoves and a wood-fired hot tub in a large garden. After a day of wandering the rolling pastures, head to the sitting room and relax beside the woodburning stove, planning out the next adventure as a group. Carry the conversation into the kitchen/diner, where the chef of your group can get organised amongst a dazzling range of integrated appliances, marble worktops and a central island. A larder cupboard sits under the stairs where all your groceries can be stored and a large American style fridge/freezer with in-built water dispenser and ice machine means you can easily prepare cold beverages. Host mealtimes at the dining area, housing an impressive table built by a local carpenter using wood from the original farmhouse, before heading to the enclosed patio and enjoy a moment before the sun sets. There is also a large garden with a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for soothing your muscles after a long day, offering the ideal setting as the stars appear overhead. As the night rolls in, venture to the first floor and discover three tasteful bedrooms, including two super-king-size rooms with zip/link beds and a king-size room with a four poster bed and a stunning en-suite bathroom, along with a family bathroom. Up another set of stairs leads to the family room which can be arranged with five single beds or a super-king-size bed with three singles, perfect for the younger guests, plus there is another handy bathroom across the small landing. Box off any work at the drop-down desk in the study or utilise the space with another single bed in place, before exploring the surrounding area, enjoying a day of walking through picturesque terrains and much more. Treveddoe Farmhouse ticks all the boxes for a magnificent escape. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1127525, together they sleep 16 guests.

One of Bodmin Moor's nicest communities, St Neot is located in the protected St Neot river valley on the southern edge of the moor in south-east Cornwall. The village benefits from the temperate Cornish climate and a strong sense of community. The village features a shop, a pub, and the Door Step Green, a garden established by the locals that is a lovely, tranquil area to unwind close to the church, which is well-known for its mediaeval stained glass windows and the neighbouring Holy Well. The Carnglaze Caverns are a fantastic tourist attraction that is open all year round and has three enormous caverns with a stunning subterranean lake in 6.5 acres of woodlands with fairy glen and picnic areas. They were created as a result of slate quarrying and mining in the 18th and 19th centuries. There are many excellent and interesting treks in the area, such as the "Two Valleys Stroll," which follows a portion of the Fowey River before passing through farms, open moors, and forest. It's also a necessity to take a walk to the magnificent Golitha Falls. On Bodmin Moor, numerous archaeological artefacts have been discovered, and St Neot is close to both the renowned Jamaica Inn and the mystique of Dozmary Pool, where King Arthur's sword Excalibur is said to be hidden. It takes 30 minutes to get to the north and south Cornish coasts, where you can engage in almost any kind of beach activity or water sport. Two miles away, Siblyback Lake, and five miles away, Colliford Lake, are further points of interest. Siblyback Lake is a great place to go sailing, windsurfing, and canoeing. You can also go fishing for the day at Colliford Lake.

The Farmhouse was beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The welcome cream tea was the perfect treat! A big thank you to Emma who was very helpful and arranged for some beef joints to be left for us to enjoy for a Sunday lunch. The boot room a godsend for outdoor clothes, boots and 2 dogs who enjoyed many a muddy walk. Lovely to wake up in the morning and see the cattle grazing in an adjacent field. Our three year old granddaughter was particularly interested in the cows with 'bandages' around their tummies. The play barn was fun - yoga, keep fit and table tennis enjoyed by all. We even managed a couple of hot tub sessions in the driving rain! Despite rain most days we all had the very best time and can't wait to return.
