This spacious, semi-detached holiday chalet rests within the peaceful grounds of Honicombe Manor Holiday Park, set in Tamar Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In a charming woodland setting, this property offers comfort throughout, providing a lovely base to return to each evening. Furnished in a rustic style with pine furniture and a country style kitchen, it will appeal to those seeking a spell in the countryside, yet with easy access to the Cornish coast. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, fitted with all the essential appliances and pick up some fresh Cornish produce to a hearty feast.

Relax on the plush leather sofas as you ease into the evening, contemplating where to visit next, or step out onto the balcony and take in far reaching countryside views. As you tire, head downstairs to find the bedrooms, including a double and two twins, all neatly presented with wooded furniture and served by a shower room and bathroom. Take advantage of the on-site facilities where you can work up a sweat in the gym, play tennis or enjoy a refreshing swim in the indoor/outdoor pool. On-site there is a convenience store for grabbing essentials and a country pub, The Honicombe Arms, where you can refuel after a day of exploring the local area.

The surrounding area provides plentiful walks close by, plus a couple of miles is the National Trust property of Cotehele; a beautiful estate by the River Tamar with woodland walks and formal gardens. For the less energetic, take a train from Gunnislake to Plymouth, enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Tamar valley as it passes over the Calstock viaduct on the way. After all this sightseeing, make your way back to 18 Tamar and recharge for the next adventure.

The village of Gunnislake lies on the banks of the River Tamar. The village offers some basic amenities including a few village pubs and a small selection of shops. It makes a great base for exploring Dartmoor, with the south and north coast beaches providing excellent days out, and the attractions of Cornwall's far west also in reach. Visit the Dartmoor town of Tavistock with its pannier market, pubs and restaurants to try, or why not ride the scenic Tamar Valley Railway into Plymouth and spend the day in the maritime heritage city.
