Callington is a Cornish market town with a mining past and is overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area. From the summit of Kit Hill, you can see all the way to Plymouth Sound in south-east Cornwall. Callington is located in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is home to Ginsters Cornish pasties, as well as a variety of shops, inns, and cafes. The charming village of Calstock, a few miles away, clings to the steep banks of the Tamar River and is dominated by the magnificent Calstock Railway Viaduct.
