This charming, single storey cottage sits in a courtyard of cottages just outside the village of Mawnan Smith, near Falmouth,Cornwall. Beautifully presented throughout, Budock offers a superb base for families and two dogs looking to holiday in this glorious Cornish region. Budock was completely remodelled in 2022 with contemporary, fresh design elements that complement its coastal location and traditional Cornish stone construction. The cottage opens onto a large open-plan living space with exposed wooded beam ceilings where there is also a lovely workspace area with a desk; here the house chef can take over the kitchen, whipping up a favourite dish with help from a range of appliances. Serve dinner at the dining bench before curling up in front of the sofa and tuning into your streaming service via the Smart TV. As you look to rest, there are three wonderful bedrooms, the master features a super-king with zip/link beds (so could be a twin) and a gleaming en-suite shower room, whilst there is also another super-king with zip/link beds and a standard double, offering flexibility for a variety of group types. To the outside of Budock is a small patio area with bench, perfect for enjoying an evening beverage as you reflect on the day’s events. Budock is a sumptuous base, all-year-round.

Mawnan Smith is a charming tiny village that is situated close to the mouth of the Helford River in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a few stores, a chapel, a restaurant, and a traditional tavern. There are several creekside and forest walks in the area, as well as subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah, making it ideal for ramblers. Along with fishing, the Helford River also provides chances for sailing and kayaking. The National Marine Museum, a variety of shops and restaurants, and the surrounding maritime town of Falmouth make it a well-liked vacation destination. Another option is to take the ferry from Helford Passage to Helford Village and tour the charming South Helford. From Falmouth to Truro, Enterprise Boats offers cruises up the River Fal, passing various oceangoing vessels that anchor in the river as well as famous nautical sites and landmarks.
