The property is particularly praised for its suitability for children and dogs, as well as its proximity to the quay and local attractions. While some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance, most enjoyed their stay and found the cottage comfortable and welcoming.

Several guests mentioned issues such as dust, cobwebs, stained carpets, and a need for a deep clean, though bedding and bathrooms were generally clean. Cleanliness was inconsistent, with some reviews describing the property as 'fairly clean' and others highlighting significant shortcomings.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views, proximity to the quay, and easy access to Fowey and beaches. Guests found the area peaceful and ideal for exploring Cornwall.

Guests found the cottage spacious and homely, with comfortable communal areas and good facilities for families. Some noted uncomfortable beds and minor issues with doors, but overall comfort was rated positively.

The cottage is well-equipped for families, with games, books, and two bathrooms. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as broken appliances and tight parking, but most facilities were functional and met guests' needs.

Some guests felt that basic supplies (such as bin bags, tea, and bath mats) were lacking and would have appreciated a welcome booklet. There is no mention of gifts or special touches, so guests should not expect these as standard.

We loved our week in Tean and Polruan - an area of Cornwall we keep coming back to despite the steep hills! Lovely views, great space and ideal garden for us, kids and the dogs and everything we’d want for a week away. Garden is accessed down a passageway, which has road access - fine for us as dogs and kids don’t stray, but worth noting for others, but once you’re up to it, it’s all enclosed. Only downside for us was the double beds, which we found uncomfortable. An apology from our side that we completely forgot to start the dishwasher before we left.

Very disappointed with our stay. On arrival we were struggling to find the keybox & so phoned the owner as detailed in the booking email. She was a bit off at being called which set the tone for the weekend.Once inside the house, it was very dusty. The carpet in the lounge needed a good hoover. There were cobwebs everywhere. Although the house itself is designed nicely, there was paint peeling of the walls and ceiling (lounge). All of the crockery we used needed washing on arrival, as well as oven trays. With one, I managed to get it looking brand new! The fridge also needs replacing as its faded yellow inside & the light is broken. In the front bedroom, we had one window without a curtain or blind. Toilet sits also need tightening. On Easter Saturday we found ourselves needing to call the owner again as we had no hot water or heating. We called the owner again around late afternoon who deescribed how to reset the heating. The call was ended abruptly with the owner advising that she is out and it felt like we were an inconvenience.A simple welcome booklet would be helpful as there was no information about how to use appliances, local/useful information, bins etc. This would save calls to the owner. I would not recommend this property.
