On road parking; additional public car park 100 yards free of charge. No smoking.. Morvoren (Sea Maiden) Cottage is located in the heart of The Square on the Lizard Peninsula. Terraced and set over three floors, it is within convenient walking distance of shops, a tea room and a pub, and has excellent access to the South West Coastal Path. The Lizard Peninsula is the most southerly point of the British mainland and boasts its own unique landscape. Explore wonderful coves with pretty thatched cottages and colourful fishing boats, or relax on beautiful beaches, including nearby Kynance Cove. The rare geology of the area creates a haven for exceptional plants, flowers and wildlife. Pretty fishing coves and harbours such as Cadgwith Cove and Mullion are just a short drive away.
The area is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and will appeal to families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday within easy reach of a choice of beaches. The Lizard Lighthouse and Heritage Centre is open to the public, and you can climb to the top and take advantage of the glorious views. Visit St Winwaloe Church right on the beach at Gunwalloe - Church Cove dates back to the 13th century. The Marconi Centre at Poldhu Cove offers an insight into advances in media and transatlantic radio communication, and you can stop off en route at Roskilly’s famous farm to watch how they make the local ice cream and fudge. You can also enjoy walking, scuba diving, cycling, golf or simply relax and watch the ever-changing sea conditions, together with abundant wildlife including dolphins, basking sharks, seals and an array of birdlife. Lovley house in the heart of the Lizard. Would definitely stay again. My only slight criticism would be some of the pans and utensils could do with replacing, we also needed to buy new wine glasses as some were cracked (we left the new ones at the house)

We have just finished our weeks stay at moroven cottage. The location in the village is excellent and the cottage is very good but the cleanliness inside was disgusting. Dead flies all over the floors and carpet. Shower pipe black. Window ledges filthy. One of single bed sheets appeared to be dried blood. Skirting boards full of dog hairs and when sitting on settee got covered in them. If the housekeeping was rectified we would certainly recommend this cottage.

We stayed one very nice week in this lovely cottage, comfortable, well equiped and nicely decorated.Yet, we do think there is an effort to be made on details, as cleanliness and tidying were quite not what should be expected. (rotten food left in the microwave, and shower upstairs not spotless for instance)I would return though.But please, tell the housekeepers to pay more attention.
