Coverack is located on the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly point of mainland Britain. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has unspoiled fishing villages, tucked away beaches and coves, spectacular coastal walks and breathtaking scenery. The area is ideal for walking, bird watching, water sports, fishing and golf. There is also a nature reserve within 3 miles. Within easy reach are Falmouth with its harbour and marinas, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle. Shops, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Ponsgwedhen is a great base for exploring, a few minutes walk to the beach with amenities, plenty of coast walks, it's a comfortable and clean bungalow with everything you need very well equipped with parking,

Had a really lovely stay at Ponsgwedhen. Everything we needed and comfortable, with plenty of space, clean, tidy, great views out to sea and own parking which is a luxury in the village. Chris the owner is really helpful and attentive (when I hadn’t brought my own hairdryer one turned up the next day!) Lovely quiet location with only a few minutes walk down to the harbour. Although a pebble beach the bay is really safe for swimming as it doesn’t get too deep. There’s a few cafes, a fish restaurant/takeaway, the Paris Hotel is great for meals with lovely views along the coast, a community shop with food essentials and a couple of gift shops. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed our stay at Ponsgwedhen, which was very spacious and clean, although a little tired looking. As a heads up, there is only one road access to the house which flooded after torrential rain due to a blocked road drain (hopefully this will be sorted soon), so remember wellies or flip flops as too deep to walk through. Need to take basic condiments, ie salt & pepper as none provided. No hairdryer either. Coverack is a lovely area
