Guests say

Wild Acres is a Cornish cottage with stunning views and a location that guests find memorable. The property is praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and family-friendly environment. The outdoor hot tub is a highlight, though access to the property is challenging, requiring a 4x4 vehicle. Some guests noted a lack of storage and hanging space, and minor maintenance issues, but the property's setting and views are consistently lauded.

Guests consistently describe the property as clean and tidy, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout their stay.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to the beach, though access is difficult, with a steep, uneven approach that may not suit all vehicles or individuals.

The property is generally found to be comfortable and spacious. However, some guests noted the lack of wardrobes and hanging areas, and issues with the conservatory being too hot during warm weather.

While the hot tub and views are appreciated, guests reported missing amenities, maintenance issues, and a need for more kitchenware for larger groups. The induction hob and oven also received criticism for their performance.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We never tired of the view. I used to spend holidays as a teenager with relatives who lived on The Lizard so it was good to be back after all these years (27 years...) There was only two of us plus dog so having a 5 bed house to ourselves was an indulgence. Well furnished, clean, tidy and comfortable. Could do with more places to sit in rooms other than the living room ( chairs in the kitchen perhaps?) We loved our time here. Perfect time of year to get good weather and the beach to ourselves Others have mentioned the track leading to the property - that's the cost of staying off the beaten track I guess. Luckily we do have a 4 x 4 with good ground clearance. I wouldn't want to attempt it in much less. It didn't put us off and it's going to be hard to match Wild Acres for next years birthday week away.

The views stretching across the Lizard Coast were nothing short of stunning. It's just a short walk to the beach and has a great outdoor area for eating or relaxing in the hot tub. If the weather turns, we would have no problem relaxing inside either. If we had one gripe, it would be that the path leading in is a bit of a hassle. 90% of it is fine, albeit bumpy, but all the issues were on that final slope. Even the 4x4s had problems gaining traction while making their way back up on the loose gravel. (Our small hatchback managed to make it up, but with a slight push.) Not essential but would be nice: an outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand when you're making your way back from the beach or getting in and out of the hot tub. But that's certainly not a deal-breaker. All in all, this place was amazing for a group getaway, and despite the issue with the path in, we will certainly be returning next year.

We had to do a thorough clean before using anything! One oven dish was actually glued together & fell apart in the oven, whilst full of food! No kitchen basics, e.g. salt, pepper, oil or welcome pack e.g. tea, coffee, milk. Their was extreme damp & running water into the porchway, outside of the kitchen. Mould in small shower room/bathroom. There were stains on the carpet when we arrived, which we removed ourselves Our car needed substantial fixing at the front of it, from scrapping on the driveway trying to get up the steep dirt track (full of deep pot holes) from the property to the access gate. This needs a complete overhaul. Needs a "Private Property" sign on the driveway gate; we had quite a few people just wander in & one of our dogs is nervous :( On the plus side, the bedrooms & living room were lovely; as are the grounds & the situation.
