Guests say

Tiggy Winkle is highly praised for its spotless condition, comfortable furnishings, and comprehensive amenities. Nestled in a peaceful and convenient location, the lodge offers a well-equipped kitchen, cosy living spaces, and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the quiet park setting, proximity to beautiful beaches, and the friendly staff on-site. Despite minor feedback on bunk bed comfort, the overall experience is deemed excellent, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the lodge as spotlessly clean, with only one minor mention of cobwebs. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.

The lodge's location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to beaches and local attractions. The convenience of the holiday park's amenities is also highlighted, although one review mentioned a lack of communication regarding park facilities.

Comfort is frequently commended, particularly the quality of the double bed. However, there is a slight deduction due to comments about the bunk beds being less comfortable for larger individuals.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the lodge being well-equipped for self-catering. Some guests mentioned excellent on-site amenities, though one review noted temporary closure of park facilities without prior notice.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the amenities and extras provided, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

About this property

Perfectly located for touring the stunning coast just 4.5 miles from Padstow on the North Cornwall coast, enjoy a memorable beach break. This lodge is on the award-winning Atlantic Bays holiday park near the vllage St Merryn. You will sense the homely feel immediately upon entering this cosy lodge, with its well-designed open plan living area including a kitchen and comfortable sitting and dining areas, whilst two welcoming bedrooms offer a cosy place to retire to at the end of each busy day. Outside, a lovely patio area will provide you with the perfect spot to relax and catch the sunshine. The park itself has a conservatory bar, which is open seasonally and offers the opportunity to sit out on the decking and enjoy a drink after a long day on the beach. Children are well catered for here, with a games room and play zone with swings and slides for the little ones, whilst a large playing field is ideal for kite flying and ball games for all ages. With seven beautiful bays all close by, as well as the Camel Trail to discover on foot or by bike, this is the ideal base for a great family holiday.

The only feedback I have to offer is about the park itself - the bar/shop and kids park are closed due to storm damage. This was not communicated at all, so was disappointing to learn on our arrival.

Everything needed for a self catering holiday was provided. We have done many S/C holidays but this was the best facilities yet. Only negative point was the uncomfortable seating in the lounge area. Beds very comfortable and plenty of hot water with efficient shower. Park was quiet and we had a lovely week walking the countryside and doing coastal walks. You do need you own transport as bus service very infrequent. One bus out and back to Padstow daily.
