About this property

Penzance 1.9 miles. Barton Woods Cottage is a delightful stone-built barn conversion set over three floors with the bonus of on-site facilities and off-road parking, making it ideal for a family or a group of friends looking to explore the coast of Cornwall. Park in the allocated parking spot and climb the steps to this property, discovering a lovely private patio, ideal for coffee in the morning sunshine as you plan the day ahead of you. From here, be welcomed into an open-plan living space, where the sitting area encourages guests to take the weight off their feet and catch up on their favourite TV shows. When mealtimes call, the amply-fitted kitchen will cater to all your culinary needs, whilst you can enjoy a hearty meal at the dining table. Throughout the property you’ll find three bedrooms, beginning with a double with storage and a bunk room on the first floor, serviced by a bathroom, and on the second floor a king-size bedroom with Velux windows and a handy en-suite shower room. This lovely property rests on the Kenegie Manor Holiday Park, allowing guests to access several on-site facilities including a restaurant, pub and swimming pool. Penzance is the closest town, and here you will find an abundance of tasty eateries, pubs, independent shops to browse at your leisure, and a convenience store for all of your essentials. Penzance has a delightful promenade and harbour, the Morrab Gardens, and outdoor swimming pools, as well as a museum and art gallery. Head over to Longrock for the lush stretch of Long Rock Beach, peaceful coastal walks, breathtaking views of St Michael’s Mount, and the idyllic Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. Here you can also find watersports activities, ideal for an action-packed afternoon. The property is within reach of the stunning Penwith Heritage Coast and offers countryside walks through the Carn Euny Ancient Village and Trencrom Hill, as well as coastal hikes passing through a variety of pristine sandy beaches. The property is also an easy drive from a range of delightful seaside towns, all well worth a visit, including Carbis Bay, Hayle and St Ives. There is truly something for everyone with a stay at the charming Barton Woods Cottage.

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbour. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
