This is my family’s second stay at Bowji and we love it. The barn conversion is such a fabulous size and is very comfortable. We love the hot tub too and this is the reason we like booking this accommodation as we like to explore in the day and relax in the evening. The only issue that we found this time is it could do with a good spring clean. There were cobwebs everywhere and the floors could do with a good scrub, but the bed linen and towels were very clean. Also couldDo with looking at the glasses, there were no wine glasses and only one gin glass too, it’s the little things that count I think, especially when you are out of the way like this accommodation is.However I would not let this put me off, I just hope the standards don’t slip anymoreIf we visit.

This is a home from home and the owners have thought of everything you may need and the welcome pack came in very handy. Although this house is very remote and will need a car to get to anything and everywhere. On the plus side this makes for a very peaceful break away with fields for dog walking and perfect if you love to hike. The hot tub is a real asset for a relaxing time in the peaceful area where all we could hear was the wind in the trees and the birds.

Lovely property, great location and nice and quiet, sadly let down by the cleanliness. Fridge and freezer were dirty. Cupboards were dirty on outside so i cleaned most of those. Table covering was all sticky. I had to also clean the bathrooms . Toaster needs replacing ,it shredded crumpets and toast cooked only on one side which burnt anyway. Cooker hob took forever to cook anything. Hot tub was all greasy on inside. Its such a shame as its a lovely place and for the price paid i would expect it to have been properly cleaned. I would have rebooked if it wasnt for the poor cleanliness. I didnt say anything at the time as i didnt want to upset the owners. But an honest review is important.
