This spacious period farmhouse was built in the 1800s as a home for a local mine captain. St. Michaels enjoys a rural location with glorious views over open countryside to Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount, yet is just a few minutes away from the A30, making the whole of Cornwall easily accessible. The large open-plan kitchen-diner is full of personality and has everything you need for a family holiday, including a large farmhouse table and chairs. You'll find some lovely character features such as wooden beams and granite window surrounds. With full central heating and a log burning stove in the living room, St Michael's is a super choice for a family holiday whatever the weather, or time of year.
Ludgvan is right in the heart of West Cornwall. It's essentially a tranquil area of countryside walks and stunning views. It is proper Poldark country! Situated in the narrowest point of the county, both the south and north coasts are quickly accessible, giving you the choice of beaches perfect for surfing or those more suited to family sandcastles and paddling. Marazion would be your closest town at just over a mile away and part of the superb Mount's Bay Coastline with wide sandy beaches and safe swimming. Chysauster Ancient village is close by; it's the remains of a Roman settlement, occupied almost 2,000 years ago. Set on a hillside, the views are stunning, and there's a fantastic array of fauna, flora and wildlife. The coastal fishing port of Newlyn is definitely worth a visit; famous as the home of Newlyn's School of Art, the town is steeped in Cornish history and has a range of fantastic restaurants.
