It is our second time at Lower Stables, we did feel this time that some of the furnishings and equipment were a bit tired and could do with replacing. There was lots of dust and cobwebs. Cleaning should have been much better. The parking area is very overgrown round the edges, Lots of weeds and brambles, Needs a good clear out. It is a shame because this is a lovely property,

We had a great stay at Lower Stables — thank you for providing such a wonderful base in a truly beautiful location. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean, and the setting in the middle of the Cornish countryside made it incredibly peaceful, with easy access to some fabulous towns and villages nearby. There were, however, quite a lot of cobwebs and dust around the beams. We completely understand this is quite the task given the height and age of the building, but it was noticeable. The sofas were also a little on the uncomfortable side, which made relaxing in the evenings a bit tricky. The kitchen was functional but could benefit from a few more basic utensils — a simple spatula, for example — and the frying pans looked a little war‑torn and well past their best. For future visits, we’d likely bring our own utensils and possibly pans to make cooking a bit easier.Despite these small points, Lower Stables is wonderfully situated, peaceful, and full of charm. We would come back, and genuinely appreciated the lovely stay.
