As a base for the week it was in a good location to get to lots of visitor attractions easily. It was cold when we first arrived and the heating is centrally controlled so you can't put it on when you want. It comes on between 0800 - 1000 and 1800 - 2300. After a few days it had warmed up and a small electric radiator was also provided. The kitchen has all the basics you need but there is very little worksurface when preparing food. Parking is in a garage or pot luck getting a space on the surrounding narrow streets. The garage was a tight fit for our estate car so if you need to open your door wide to get in and out of your car the garage may be a struggle. Overall The Barn served us well for the week and there is a great pub, The Star Vogue, about a 10 min walk away which does great food with generous portion sizes.
