Guests say

Grandpa Dickson's cottage in Little Petherick, Cornwall, is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, tasteful decor, and thoughtful touches from the hosts, including welcome gifts. The property is well-equipped and offers a relaxing retreat with beautiful views and a secure garden, ideal for both families and pets.

The majority of guests report the cottage as very clean, with only a few isolated comments about dust and cobwebs. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is consistently praised for its tranquility and proximity to Padstow, beaches, and coastal walks. One review mentioned difficulty walking to nearby trails due to a busy road, but overall, the location is highly regarded.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy atmosphere and quality furnishings. A few comments about mattress quality and shower space suggest minor room for improvement, but overall comfort is rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped. However, some guests noted issues with hot water supply and outdoor furniture maintenance. These are minor compared to the overall positive feedback on the property's amenities.

Hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, including welcome packages and dog treats. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a great stay here. We had everything we needed and more! We would definitely recommend this property for accessing Padstow and the 7 Bays.

  • Kim

The listing is absolutely accurate and there were no surprises. Well appointed for the 7 bays, Padstow, Wadebridge, Rock, Daymer and Polzeath. The owners were very attentive in contact but not intrusive. This property would suit someone with reduced mobility. It is all on one level accessed via approx 6 external steps with handrails.
