It’s an idyllic base for a relaxing Cornwall coastal holiday, combining comfort, style and an unbeatable location.
Arrive, drop your suitcases, grab the surfboards and head straight down to the azure blue waters and white sands of Carbis Bay. Nestled between Gwithian Sands and St Ives, this stretch of coastline is renowned for its crystal-clear colours and artistic heritage, famously captured by artists such as John Miller.
Carbis Bay offers everything you need for a memorable seaside escape, including excellent restaurants, a luxury spa and relaxed beach bars. The beach is ideal for safe swimming, paddleboarding and building sandcastles with little ones. Just below 3 Sandy Lane, a charming coastal railway carries a small train between Carbis Bay and St Ives town centre - widely regarded as one of the most scenic (if short) train journeys in Britain.
Inside, the apartment is stylish, modern and beautifully appointed, offering everything you need for a truly memorable stay. We have just stayed at 3, Sandy Lane for 7-nights and it has been simply wonderful.We are a family of 4 with two children aged 7 and 5 who loved their first ever UK holiday!The apartment is fairly spacious, modern, clean and finished to a high standard - Dualit kettle and toaster, Joseph Joseph utensils, John Lewis crockery are simple examples of where luxury and attention to detail have been observed.The decor is light, bright and feels like a âhome from homeâ.The beautiful bi-fold doors open onto a large terrace area that stretches around the side of the apartment where two rattan sun beds can be foundâ¦and are perfectly located to catch those Cornish rays of sunshine in the event the sun makes an appearance - which fortunately it did for us!The beds are comfortable and beautifully made up - just be mindful they are double beds so if you have a super king sized bed at home it takes some adjusting to!The apartment itself is perfectly located to explore all Cornwall has to offer - we took trips out to the Minack Theatre, Lands End and Hayle beach just to name a few and none took too long to get to.Carbis Bay train station is about a 3-minute walk away and ideal to jump on to travel to the nearby town of St Ives - in fact, Iâd suggest it is a must as the views are spectacular and parking in St Ives is hellish!Carbis Bay beach takes just 5-10 minutes to walk to - even with two kids and body boards in tow -though the walk back is a good 10-15 given itâs uphill!I honestly, canât recommend 3, Sandy Lane enough as the perfect place to stay in the event youâre visiting north Cornwall. Weâll certainly be looking to return next year and hope the exceptional standards set have been maintained.Thanks you to the owners and Cornwall Hideaways for the perfect staycation.
