Trevega is a well-loved cottage in Polzeath, Cornwall, cherished for its spectacular views and perfect location for beach holidays. Guests appreciate the property's homely comfort, well-equipped kitchen, and improvements like new sofas and beds. The enclosed garden is a plus for pet owners, though some mention the need for better security. While there are mentions of minor maintenance issues and suggestions for updates, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning to return.
The property is generally found to be clean, with guests commenting positively on its tidiness upon arrival. However, there are isolated mentions of areas missed by cleaners, such as under rugs and sofas, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness perception.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local shops, and coastal walks, with many guests returning for the views and easy access to local amenities. The setting is described as wonderful, contributing to the property's appeal.
Guests find the property comfortable, noting improvements like new sofas and beds. However, some guests mention that certain mattresses are lumpy and need replacing, and there are comments about the small size of the TV, which affects the overall comfort for some visitors.
The cottage is well-equipped for a family holiday, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture. Nonetheless, guests have pointed out maintenance issues such as a grotty tape on the shower screen, the need for more outdoor chairs, and the suggestion of an outdoor shower for surfers.
While guests express gratitude for the amenities and improvements made to the property, there are no specific mentions of gifts or thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Good outside space to relax and for our dog. Very comfortable, especially the bed. The grotty tape used on the shower screen to seal against the bath was not a standard that I would expect and is highlighted by others. The bin collection instructions are a little confusing (Thursday or Friday; should we ring the Council for collection) and no bags provided. There was a potential issue with the neighbour obscuring Trevega's drive by parking their cars in the road very close - but not a problem to us (we parked in the drive at the side of the house.

Its our third year running and we would love to come back. Beautifully clean when we arrived but just a few small issues which were sorted immediately which was great. As mentioned in previous years it would be great to perhaps have some hooks on the backs of all the bedroom and bathroom doors to hang towels as there is nowhere to hang/dry them. Also an outdoor shower would make a huge difference when all six coming in from the surf - one bathroom is not great when six people cold coming in from the sea or a wet day! Lovely garden and great that it's enclosed for our dog. Huge thank you for another great stay

It is all about the views which I know well with a path down to the beach, coastal walks, local shops and places to eat and drink all very accessible. The bungalow is simply furnished and comfortable. If feedback is helpful, I would say the shower screen needs a new strip as tape is currently being used. The beds in the twin bedroom have very thin mattresses and very creaky. We did however love our stay and would recommend it.
