Lodge One is a well-situated property in Cornwall, offering easy access to local attractions and amenities. Guests have praised its central location, cleanliness, and the owner's friendliness. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, these appear to be isolated incidents, with many expressing a desire to return and recommending the lodge to others.
Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the lodge clean and comfortable, others reported issues with cleanliness, such as dirty dishes and unpleasant odours. However, these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and convenience for exploring Cornwall, with easy access to beaches, shops, and restaurants. It is described as central and ideal for visiting various places.
Comfort has been positively noted, with the lodge described as spacious and comfortable. However, some guests mentioned uncomfortable mattresses and the lodge being overly warm, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities have garnered positive remarks for being well-equipped, but there have been several suggestions for improvement, such as additional kitchenware and lamps. Maintenance issues like non-working heaters and wasp problems have been flagged.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

The unit has all you need for a comfortable stay. It is in an ideal position for easy access to a lot of beaches and lovely drives and also being close to a good shopping centre. As our son lives close by we shall be booking again.

This was our second visit and we will be back again.

Issues: - Really bad smell permeating the whole lodge. Seemed to be originating from the bathrooms - Frebreeze, air freshener and scented candles couldn't shift it all week. - Storage heater the front double bedroom didn't work. - We had to clean all of the plates, glasses, cutlery, saucepans and the grill, as they were dirty. - Remnants of a McDonalds was down the side of the sofa/under the table. - The cooker had been switched off - had to reset the clock to get it to work. Recommendations: - Lamps in the lounge - the lights are too fierce to relax. - Need bins in the bedrooms - Need a colander and a tablespoon in the kitchen. - The visitors comments book contains some local information, but we didn't find it until the last day. Recommend a client information pack including emergency numbers for doctors, dentists and the owners. Details of local shops, pubs and takeaways would also be useful.
