Godolphin is a well-loved cottage in Cornwall, praised for its stunning views and proximity to the beach. Guests appreciate the clean, comfortable accommodations and the extra touches like beach equipment and fluffy towels. While some maintenance issues are noted, the property's charm and location make it a favourite for return visits.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with several guests noting it was 'super clean' upon arrival. However, one instance of the property not being ready on time slightly impacts the score.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to the beach and local amenities. The steep walk to the beach is mentioned, which may not suit everyone.
Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of comfortable beds and a homely feel. Some minor issues with furniture and a need for more maintenance slightly affect the score.

This homely, detached bungalow is situated just up from Polzeath village with its sandy beach and is ideally located for touring Cornwall’s entire stunning north coast. As you arrive and park on the drive, your eyes are immediately drawn to the magnificent beach and the Atlantic Ocean. As you enter this delightful cottage you will see a welcoming open fire in the sitting room, perfect for those out of season breaks, and what better way to relax than to sit in front of the window here and look out on those wonderful sea views. The fitted kitchen with dining area looks out over the spacious garden, and the bathroom is perfect for resting those achy legs after a day’s walking along the stunning South West Coast Path. The three bedrooms offer a choice of accommodation with two twin bedrooms and bunk room available. The private enclosed garden offers relaxation at the end of the day, where you may wish to light the barbecue or just unwind with a refreshing drink, plus lockable storage is available for your surf boards and wet suits. Polzeath beach is perfect for all ages and has been recognised as being an ideal place for surfing and bodyboarding. It’s however just one of a number of wonderful beaches in the area, with Rock and Daymer Bay being close by. Whilst the beaches are the main attraction there are countless other activities within a very short distance, such as the St Enodoc golf course, which overlooks Padstow and is one of the finest in the south west region. The Camel Trail, offering 17 miles of walking and cycling opportunities and fishing on the River Camel are just a couple more options too. The list is endless and makes this the perfect location for a holiday or short break at any time of the year.
The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach and a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. Also the town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed, medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is within reach.
