Jasmine Cottage in Cornwall offers a tranquil setting with beautiful grounds and a range of amenities including a pool and spa. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. The location is ideal for a relaxing holiday, with good access to local attractions.
Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including unclean utensils, cobwebs, and dusty areas. Some guests found the property spotless, but the majority reported it needed a more thorough cleaning.
The location is generally praised for its tranquility and beauty, with easy access to local towns and attractions. However, some guests found the roads challenging and the property more remote than expected.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage spacious. However, there are comments about creaky floorboards and issues with heating that affected the overall comfort for some visitors.
The on-site facilities like the pool and spa are highlights, but there are numerous mentions of maintenance issues within the cottage and the wider estate, including the need for updates and repairs.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Glasses and cutlery were dirty and there was a big greasy cobweb hanging from the kitchen cupboard. There was feaces on the outside of the upstairs toilet that ran from the lid to the floor. I point blank refused to go anywhere near this. There was no central heating or hot water on arrival and we had two under 2's either us. We tried phoning the numerous numbers in the "help file". We had to go to reception at the hotel to use their phone and left a message. The following day a lady called Sarah called me to discuss the issues. I told her what the problem was and she said she would send a maintenance person round. She called me back roughly an hour later saying it had been resolved, the boiler had tripped and he had reset it. By the time we returned to the cottage it was off again. We had to press the reset button every 30 minutes but even doing this we had to shower at the hotel pool. There was no sweeping brush and pan for us to brush up. We left the property cleaner than when we arrived!! Emails sent on the arrival Saturday have still not been replied to. Upon returning home we received an email saying the owners were charging us £100 as we had left the property with stains. My husband point blank refused authorisation of this charge. They have opened a case to try and resolve it. I also believe that they are tearing bad reviews out of the book in the property as there are large date gaps between reviews. I have wrote in the brown book so let's see. Also seems to be fake review on here about the 'vile pets' It's funny how they can email you when they think you've done wrong, but ignore us when asking for help. This was our third and final visit to Jasmine Cottage
