Guests say

Seaview - Beer is a modern and well-renovated cottage in Devon, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and lovely views. Guests appreciate the proximity to Beer's high street and beach, as well as the friendly local wildlife. The property is ideal for coastal walks and visiting nearby attractions, though access may be challenging for some due to a steep incline.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is generally regarded as clean and well-kept, with only a minor mention of cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly valued for its quietness, proximity to Beer, and scenic views, despite the steep hill which may not be suitable for all guests.

The property is considered cosy and comfortable, though there are suggestions for more comfortable sofas and concerns about the size of the second bedroom.

The house is well-equipped for a short stay with a well-furnished kitchen and outdoor seating. However, the lack of an enclosed garden for pets and the small TV were noted drawbacks.

While guests have not specifically mentioned gifts, there is a suggestion that the inclusion of Christmas decorations would have been a thoughtful touch. It is politely noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Great base for walking routes, cosy and comfy. Not much in the way of shops in Beer, the nearest supermarket is in Seaton which is a short drive away but was a great place for a short stay. The house is well equipped and located a short walk from where you park the car up for short sharp incline and sadly for us the garden was not enclosed which meant we had to take the dog out on the lead as he could have got out to the road. Other than that a great weekend place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The location of the cottage is excellent and it has been well renovated.

We had a great time and thought the cottage was lovely, however there were a couple of things that let it down and I would not rate 4*. 1. The sofas were really small and uncomfortable and most evenings we resorted to lying on the rug. Cosy sofas would transform the sitting area. 2. The tv was small. This is very subjective I know but in the winter nights most people will settle down to a good film on the sofas and we struggled to do this. 3. Bedroom 2 was very small for 2 adults, maybe only suitable for children? The bulkiness of the bed frames did not help. 4. The distance from the car to the property was hard work with all our luggage. 5. It would have been a lovely gesture for Christmas decorations to be provided. I have spoken to friends about this and all have said when they go away for Christmas the house is decorated. We had to bring our own tree etc which was disappointing. 6. I would have given very good for cleanliness but there were a lot of cobwebs in the property. 7. With regard to the view I would personally cut down the large fir tree just to the front of the property.
