About this property

Just 90 yards from the Beach in Seaton, Devon is this remarkable, three-storey townhouse, Swallow Court. Tastefully refurbished by the owners this listing is brand new to us at Sykes, hence no reviews yet. Ideal for a family of six looking for a coastal getaway, Swallow Court is near Seaton town centre, with good access to the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and enjoying a wealth of gorgeous beaches nestled on the south coast. On arriving at this lovely abode, you can wander inside and enjoy the stylishly decorated accommodation. The living/dining room has been designed with leisure in mind, with seating positioned to relax facing the Smart 50" TV. French doors stream in natural light from the south facing courtyard garden that takes in the sea air. Continue upstairs to find another living space offering a snug lounge/playroom, designed to give extra family space and also offering another Smart TV. After unwinding, continue to the fully-fitted kitchen, offering fantastic appliances that any budding chef would be pleased with. Once a tasty meal has been fixed up, it can be enjoyed in the living/dining room, or pass through the French doors to the secure decking; a real sun trap on the south of the property. As the day comes to an end, choose one of three fabulously furnished bedrooms to rest in; the master bedroom on the first floor offers a king-size bed with access to a contemporary, en-suite shower room. The further two bedrooms, a double enjoying glimpses of the sea, and a twin, can be found on the second floor together with a family bathroom, which offers a bath and shower over; ideal for those evenings where you just want to soak up amongst the bubbles! The town additionally provides access to a stunning 2km stretch of beach and the renowned Seaton Tramway, which travels along the estuary to Colyton, stopping at Colyford en route. The pretty Axe Harbour's flat level walk and the picturesque nature reserve of the Seaton Wetlands offer walks along the glistening waters and estuary. The local nature reserve itself offers ample footpaths, cycle trails and bird hides, so you can really take in the outdoors and observe the various wildlife that have made the marshes and estuary their home. Continue along the coast to Beer Fishing Village, home to the popular Beer Beach, along with walks on Whitecliff via the South West Coastal Path and ample, independent shops for when you're wanting to do a bit of retail therapy. Beer Quarry caves also make for an interesting visit, hunt out the vast underground cathedral. Further along the coast you will find Branscombe, deemed one of the most 'picturesque' villages along the Jurassic Coastline, the village offers the wonderful sights of its thatched cottages, along with access to the popular pubs, including the Masons Arms and access to a UNESCO beach. Why not travel to Lyme Regis, where the Lyme Regis Museum can be toured, you can try your hand at fossil hunting along the lovely stretch of coastline, hike the famous Cobb and finish off the day with a meal at one of the many restaurants. With so much to see on this part of the Jurassic Coast, you'll always find things to do, whether that be exploring Sidmouth or Exmouth, visiting the bustling city of Exeter or immerseing yourself in the great outdoors at the nearby East Devon AONB and the Blackdown Hills. It was child friendly and the youngsters (and adults) really enjoyed the playroom. The kitchen was well equipped. Parking for two cars was a slight problem at the weekend, but fine during the week. Thanks to the owner for her pre-visit information which was very useful.

The hosts were very welcoming and extremely helpful providing advice and tips about local amenities, good restaurants and walks. They went to extra lengths to ensure that our baby granddaughter was catered for and she loved the brilliant playroom. A great bonus. We hope to go again.
