The main house welcomes up to ten guests across five beautifully appointed bedrooms, with generous living spaces designed for both relaxation and socialising. Original period features sit comfortably alongside refined contemporary touches, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. Four inglenook fireplaces add warmth and character, while the spacious kitchen, complete with a large island, wine fridge and Falcon range cooker, provides the perfect setting for preparing leisurely breakfasts, celebratory dinners and everything in between. A living room with pool table, cosy reading snug and TV room ensure there is room for everyone to enjoy their own pace of holiday.
Adjacent to the manor, the historic barn offers a delightful retreat for two to four additional guests. Carefully restored with exposed beams, heritage details and gorgeous finishes, the barn combines intimacy and comfort with its own entrance and little courtyard. The striking cast iron bath in the bedroom creates a sense of indulgence, making it an ideal space for a couple seeking a little extra privacy while remaining connected to the wider group.
Outside, landscaped gardens, a croquet lawn and a spacious terrace invite long afternoons in the fresh air. Gather for al fresco dining, enjoy a glass of wine as the sun begins to set or simply savour the slower rhythm of coastal life. Just a short stroll from the property, Beer Beach (500m on foot) is a beautiful sheltered shingle bay framed by dramatic limestone cliffs. Here, colourful fishing boats are still hauled ashore each day, preserving a centuries-old maritime tradition. A visit to the fascinating Beer Quarry Caves (1.5km) is also highly recommended, where guided tours reveal the vast underground caverns that supplied stone for some of England’s most famous historic buildings.
The surrounding coastline offers plenty to explore. Branscombe Beach (4km), one of Devon’s most unspoilt coastal spots, is perfect for peaceful seaside walks and scenic views. A 5 to 10-minute drive in the other direction brings you to Seaton Beach, the town of Seaton and the popular Seaton Tramway, where heritage trams glide through the beautiful Axe Valley wetlands. These nearby attractions provide a wonderful mix of coastal scenery, wildlife and family-friendly experiences.
