A parking permit is included for 1 car in the large public car park situated only a minute’s walk from the property, and this has several charging points for electric cars.
As you enter the Sail Loft, you will instantly feel at home with quaint features blended with modern furnishings to ensure true comfort during your stay. You can kick back and relax as the cottage has been refurbished with little luxuries such as a dishwasher, double oven, coffee machine, bathrobes, gorgeous Egyptian cotton bedding and luxury toiletries. Look forward to snuggling up after a day exploring the area and putting on a good film with the choice of the TV in the bedroom or a 50” Smart TV in the sitting room, or just sit on the balcony or in the courtyard with a glass of wine.
Head down to the famous horseshoe beach, surrounded by white chalk cliffs, only 100 metres away from the property, a real sun trap with clean waters, rock pools at low tide and beach cafés serving great breakfasts, delicious crab sandwiches and wonderful cream teas. See the local fishermen bring in their catch, hire a boat, or watch some sailing.
Beer is a beautiful fishing village nestling within an aonb on the Jurassic Coast, which grew up around a smuggler’s cove and caves, which were once used to store contraband goods. The spectacular scenery of the South West coastal footpath is only 100 metres from the property. You can walk the footpath to Branscombe and Sidmouth in one direction and Lyme Regis and Seaton in the other, or enjoy fishing and searching for fossils along the Jurassic Coast.
Local attractions include Beer Quarry Caves, Pecorama, Seaton Tramway, Crealy, Bicton Gardens and the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth, with over 500 gorgeous rescue donkeys. Beer itself has a great selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, all only metres away from the property. The surrounding countryside is a wonderful mix of wooded combs, heathland and hilltops from which wonderful vistas can be enjoyed.
The Pecorama Gardens are well worth a visit; nestled on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay, they offer colourful gardens to explore, as well as the Beer Heights Light Railway. The beautiful Regency resort of Sidmouth is only 10 minutes away and boasts a theatre, a cinema and hosts the annual famous Sidmouth Folk Festival in August.

The Sail Loft in Beer is a great place to stay. The accommodation has everything you could need, and the owners are really helpful. It's in a great location in Beer, which has some great independent shops and restaurants/bars. Walking from Beer is lovely (if hilly!) on the Costal paths to Branscombe & Sidmouth, and Seaton & Lyme Regis. And there is Beer Fishery for really fresh fish & shellfish - delicious!
