Wheelwright Cottage is a beautiful, three-bedroom holiday home situated in the heart of the village of Branscombe in East Devon, just a 10-minute level walk away from the pebbled beach. Branscombe is known as being one of the prettiest unspoilt villages in Devon, ideally located on the Jurassic Coastline which is a World Heritage Site and it is part of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Perfect for families or friends, this retreat boasts homeliness and charm which can be felt upon approaching the cottage, and this continues to the inside.
As you enter the cottage, you will instantly feel at home in the luxurious and stylish kitchen with its granite worktops, dining table and chairs, and a full range of appliances. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, the first is accessed four steps down with a kingsize bed, beautiful vaulted ceilings and an en-suite shower room. The other has a kingsize bed and is adjacent to the family bathroom, which is fitted with a walk-in shower and roll-top bathtub. Head upstairs to discover the open-plan living and dining area which is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating, a dining table and chairs, Smart TV with Freeview and a wood burner. The perfect space for winding down and watching a film after a busy day exploring the coastline, or for planning out those up and coming adventures. This then leads through to the third bedroom with a kingsize bed. In front of the property is a pretty patio area with a bistro table and chairs, a great spot for enjoying your morning coffee in the sunshine.
Conveniently located just a short walk from the beach and café, this pretty stone cottage is both comfortable and charming. Positioned close to the National Trust meadows and local attractions, there is a timeless magic about Branscombe and the property is just a stone’s throw away from a very reputable pub serving excellent food. The beautiful fishing village of Beer is just a 10-minute drive away, and here you will discover the famous Horseshoe Beach where the local fishermen bring in their catch. Enjoy picturesque walks along the coastal path to Sidmouth in one direction and Beer and Seaton in the other. Local attractions include Beer Quarry Caves, Pecorama, Seaton Tramway, Crealy, Bicton Gardens and the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth.

We have just returned from a short break at the Wheelwright Cottage.The cottage was perfect for us, it was spotlessly clean and had everything that you could need. All communications where fast and friendly and the cottage felt like a home not just a rental. The local pub was just opposite and served good food but you need to book in advance to get a table in the restaurant. Also the cafe at the beach was very good and a pleasant 15 minute walk away.

Great location, beautiful clean house with a warm cozy log burner. Ample space and comfy beds. 15 minutes walk to the beach. Lovely pub across the road with very attentive staff and amazing food. Great weekend away.
