Witheridge is a delightful small village in the lovely Devon countryside with many little old cottages, a bar, a convenience store, a newsagent, and even a travelling pizza van that comes to the village every Wednesday to offer wood-fired pizzas or a fish and chip van that visits every Friday. Just a short drive away is the lovely, thatched village of Kings Nympton, which was selected as Devon's Village of the Year in 1999 by the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England. The award-winning The Grove Inn, which serves superb home-cooked cuisine and a fantastic selection of ale and cider all year long, is located in the quintessential English village.

We have now stayed here twice and will undoubtedly stay here again. Attention to detail is as its highest and it is unquestionably a 'home from home' Lovely touches like delicious scones, jam and cream waiting for us when we arrived and fresh flowers. The hot tub is modern, big and added an extra special fun element to the property. The house is in a wonderful location. Love it!

We arrived to scones, milk and flowers which was really appreciated and such a lovely touch! We enjoyed the hot tub during our weeks stay and it looks out onto the field behind, which would be lovely in the summer months. The kitchen is really well equipped and had everything we needed. One of our guests has some mobility issues, so having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom was really helpful. There is also a pub at the end of the property entrance, which we didnât get to use, but it is highly recommended. The property is also situated in a good location for exploring Devon. We couldnât fault anything about the property and we hope to return again in the near future!

Peaceful location with lovely outside garden area looking onto fields and beyond. Our small dog enjoyed staying too, especially the treats that were there for her. Best rental cottage to stay when in Witheridge by far.
