Guests say

Guests have found the cottage in Lyme Regis to be well-equipped, comfortable, and superbly located for easy access to the seafront and local amenities. The property's charm and the provision of fresh linen are appreciated, although some guests noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Cleanliness has been mentioned as acceptable by some, but others noted a lack of thoroughness, with dirty plates and items found under furniture. This suggests room for improvement in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the seafront, shops, bars, and cafes, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore Lyme Regis on foot.

The property is generally found to be comfortable with fresh linen and a cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned a very soft mattress and an uneven floor in one of the bedrooms, which could affect comfort for some.

Facilities are well-regarded in terms of the kitchen being well-stocked and the property being equipped for families. However, issues with heating, a drafty door, and minor maintenance concerns like a non-functioning light and broken toilet brush have been raised.

While guests appreciated the overall equipment and comfort provided, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately assessed.

The only slight downside was that the shared courtyard was not really available to us so we couldn’t sit outside. The 2 properties facing directly onto the courtyard always had the tables and chairs outside their front doors and also washing! We didn’t feel that we could use it. Otherwise everything was fine.

It's really well equipped for a family stay and spacious, comfortable and cosy. Location wise it was ideal for us with everything we needed for a 3 night stay in short walking distance. The parking is a little tricky but we managed to fit our family sized car in the garage and leave the door open. If you want the central location then to have a garage available is a bonus - many similar properties didn't have parking available. The front door needs some attention as is very difficult to open!

Cottage well equipped but full of a lot of tat and inside of cupboards and drawers in kitchen absolutely filthy. Lots of things like light in bathroom not working properly and broken toilet brush. The whole place just needs a bit more TLC.
