Guests have found 5 Forest Park Lodge to be a lovely and peaceful retreat, praising its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and tranquil surroundings. The property is appreciated for its well-equipped kitchen and the beautiful array of birds that visit. While some guests mentioned minor issues with maintenance and the challenge of a tight parking space, the overall experience is highly regarded for those looking to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a restful stay.
The property is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness. One mention of cigarette ends and dog waste outside slightly affects the score.
The location is praised for its peacefulness and natural surroundings, ideal for guests seeking tranquility. However, the remote setting and distance from town centres and shops, along with the mention of a steep, single-track road, suggest that accessibility could be an issue for some.
Comfort is highlighted with positive remarks about the quality of sleep, comfortable beds, and restful environment. The presence of creaky floorboards and the lack of blinds in bathrooms are noted but do not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a fully equipped kitchen and tidy garden area. However, reports of issues with the oven, grill, and radiators, as well as suggestions for better lighting, indicate room for improvement in maintenance.
While guests have not specifically mentioned gifts, they appreciate the thoughtfully provided essentials and the property's readiness for their stay. As there are no references to gifts, a score cannot be provided.

We didn't need the heating as the cottage was warm and light which meant if there was any sun the warmth was enough. It is remote but a Lidl nearby and a well stocked shop attached to the garage just up the road. Probably advisable to bring essentials with like bread and milk with you although the village comunity shop opens each day if you run out. If you need to switch off and imurse your self in nature it's ideal.

The road to the house was steep and single track. Nether of these were mentioned. Oven didn't work and grill was poor. Radiators didn't heat up fully despite being turned up to dry washing. A lamp would have been nice in the living room for more subtle lighting. The property was immaculate, comfortable and well equipped.

The directions provided were very helpful. We loved how peaceful, quiet and green it was. Birds flitting around, the views so calming. A tranquil retreat after a busy day exploring. The beds were comfortable, as were the sofas and the kitchen has everything you need.
