Guests say

Daffodil Lodge in Ilfracombe, Devon, receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches for both guests and pets. The location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and the lodge is well-equipped for a pleasant stay. Some concerns about maintenance and noise from the nearby road are noted, but overall guests enjoy their experience and the property's dog-friendly amenities.

Most guests find Daffodil Lodge to be clean and well-maintained, with high levels of cleanliness that make it hard to tell it's a pet-friendly lodge. There are a couple of mentions of dust and pet hair, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The lodge's location is generally praised for its convenience to local sites and attractions, with a pub and eatery within walking distance. However, some guests express concerns about the proximity to a main road and the associated noise.

Guests report that the beds are comfortable and the lodge provides a cosy atmosphere, especially with the thoughtful inclusion of hot water bottles and bed socks. Some guests find the sofas uncomfortable and the TV too small, which slightly detracts from the overall comfort.

The lodge is well-equipped with necessary amenities and guests appreciate the well-furnished kitchen. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as a problematic shower, unstable dining chairs, and a malfunctioning fridge freezer, which suggest room for improvement.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches provided for both humans and pets, including treats, blankets, and an informative 'Bible'. While these gifts are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such extras are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

The beds were comfortable with good clean linen. Different patio furniture would be appreciated as the weather was not kind to us during our stay and when the sun did shine we were unable to sit outside on our patio due to there being only a wooden and uncomfortable picnic table and bench which was always too damp.

Just one problem the duvet in the main bedroom was dirty and there was black dog hair everywhere, so had to hoover when we arrived.
