This delightful barn conversion enjoys a peaceful rural location on the owner’s farm and has access to a 6 acre field and lovely walk to the lake. The town of South Molton, with its shops and market, is only three miles away, and is also home to the Quince Honey Farm, which has over 1000 hives and sells a range of their own artisan products. Exmoor is an easy drive away, which will delight keen walkers and those with an interest in wildlife. For those who like to explore the local area, the town of Barnstaple is just twelve miles from the cottage.

The spacious barn offers upside-down style accommodation, with the upstairs living area being accessed via a set of external steps. The large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is the perfect space in which to relax, with its comfortable sofas, a warming wood burner, TV and DVD. The lounge area is separated from the kitchen/diner by the stairs. The large dining table comfortably seats six and the kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, and washer/dryer. Taking the stairs to the ground floor, guests will find the property’s three bedrooms, all of which have their own TVs (smart TV in master bedroom) and French doors with access to the property’s garden. The main bedroom has a super-king-size bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) and an en-suite shower room and WC. The second bedroom is also a super-king-size bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) and the third bedroom is a generous sized twin room. The main bathroom is also on the ground floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from a generously sized enclosed garden which is mainly set to lawn, with a large private hot tub, patio with seating and BBQ. Guests have access to a 6 acre field (completely enclosed with stock fencing) to exercise dogs and can enjoy a lovely walk to the lake, there is also a shared children’s play area opposite the cottages. For those who would like to meet the resident horses, this is possible with supervision by the owners.
