This upside down mews house is one of two attached to Prospect House, an award-winning development of 16 holiday homes converted from an historic hotel on the cliffs above Hallsands. With amazing sea views and masses of space and sunshine, this is wonderful and memorable accommodation for older families and couples. From the hall, head upstairs to the open plan living space, all comfortable and beautifully equipped and with three doors to throw open to full-height balustrades on a fine day. You will find the three comfortable bedrooms downstairs, two with doors leading to a balcony. Outside, the open communal space to front and rear is charming, with a shared seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court.

The enclosed terrace which faces the sea has an enclosed sitting-out area with table and chairs for each of these two mews cottages. At the back, you can relax in the gated garden above the pool. Wander down to the viewing platform which poignantly illustrates how the original village of Hallsands was reduced to rubble by the waves on a stormy night in 1917. From here, you can head in either direction along the spectacular South West Coast Path to the shingle beach or to the little seaside village of Beesands with its amazing fresh fish and chips café and the excellent pub where Mick Jagger incongruously gave his first public performance as a teenager.

For fans of retail treats, the little streets of Salcombe and Kingsbridge offer boutique shops where you can browse for hours. 2 Ella Mews is a unique and stunning destination on a dramatic and beautiful stretch of the South Hams coast.

The small fishing village of Beesands is situated within the South Hams area of Devon, within easy reach of the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe
