On a steep hill which leads down to the waterside and town centre and with period features complemented by modern comforts, this is ideal accommodation for enjoying the popular town and its surroundings. Step into the hall and from there into your spacious sitting room, a lovely space with its high ceilings, wooden floors and sash windows. You can snuggle up beside the woodburner to watch the Smart TV or gaze at the sublime views from the bay window. Head downstairs to the pristine, white kitchen which has a table for enjoying family meals and glass doors to open wide to the terrace on a fine day.
The three comfortable bedrooms are laid charmingly over the first and second floors. The sunny terrace is situated at the back of the house, where you can share alfresco meals and views to the River Dart. The great bonus of this house is that you can wander out to browse the Elizabethan streets with their interesting shops and galleries and eat and drink at friendly pubs and great restaurants, meaning there is never a dull moment for all the family. You can catch the ferry across to pretty Kingswear or take boat trips to the bustling old town of Totnes or the beaches at Torbay, and even hire a boat of your own.
Maybe take a tour of the historic and impressive Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. This is nautical heaven and Regatta House, in the hub of waterside life, is a fascinating place to stay. PARKING - This property has access to a free private parking space which is a rarity in Dartmouth but this is up a steep hill from the property - you may find it easier to stop at the junction with Jawbones Hill to unload. Sometimes there are spaces on Jawbones Hill on the right hand side on the way up (if your clutch control is good!). Your Off road parking in a reserved parking space is back at the top of Jawbones Hill (turn into the road and continue to the top until you see the parking area at the top on the right) - your parking bay is No 4 - please see the map inside the front door if needed, together with instructions for parking a second car using Dartmouth’s pay car parks.
