Guests say

Ferrystone is a well-regarded holiday cottage in Dartmouth, praised for its beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the convenient location next to the ferry and train station, and the property's cleanliness is consistently noted. While parking can be challenging, the proximity to local transport options is a plus. Some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and suggested improvements for water pressure and property management.

The property is frequently described as clean and well-maintained, with several guests noting the spotless condition upon arrival. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to the overall experience.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the ferry, train station, and beautiful views. However, the limited free street parking and associated costs slightly detract from the perfect score.

Guests find the beds and furniture comfortable, and the property spacious for relaxation. The presence of a roof terrace adds to the comfort. Some concerns about wardrobe space and water pressure are noted.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, guests have reported issues with water pressure, maintenance of curtain rails, and the need for clearer instructions for appliances.

While guests have made suggestions for improvements and mentioned the provision of certain items, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

Beautifully presented, very well equipped. Everything you could possibly want for a great holiday. The views across to Dartmouth amazing. So much to do. We loved the river trips and steam train. We will definitely recommend and hope to come again.

We had a lovely relaxing time and really enjoyed ourselves. A couple of things to note/feedback - nothing major, but may help future guests. - Car parking: There are 2 public car parks nearby, one by the passenger ferry behind the station that is 2 minutes away but limited spaces. Or 5 minutes walk approx along the road at the marina. Download the Ringo app to make paying/extending time easier, but it is approx. £8 per day. - Kitchen: there was only one tea towel provided and no oven mitt, so the one tea towel we had was used for both drying and taking hot trays etc out the oven, which wasn't ideal. Also take some spare dishwasher tablets and bin bags, only a couple are provided for the week. Ferry crossing - the car ferry is quicker than the passenger ferry and takes foot passengers. Both are the same price too.

House was spotless , plenty of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, bin liners , tea towels (we did bring our own but didn’t need them) games , books, maps and soap! Everything you needed. We hardly cooked as ate out most days but the kitchen was very well equipped . We knew about the electric toothbrush issue as had read the previous reviews . Easily solved by purchasing an adapter for £2.50 in the hardware shop in Dartmouth. No reason not to charge the toothbrush! No issues with hanging space for us and there are additional hangers on backs of the doors . We loved the downstairs space for all the shoes, waking boots , fleeces and cagoules meaning we didn’t traipse mud / wet coats up the stairs. A shoe rack might be helpful maybe but it was fine . Washing machine great and hanging space helpful in the utility room. Patio was used as we had great weather mostly ! Great to sit outside and it gets the sun all day really. Previous reviews critical of showers. We had no issues - two adults and two older teen girls and all agree shower pressure fine. One thing to sort out for the future is the window in the main bedroom as it would only stay open with a cushion propping it up (I am sure the owners will address this in the long term! ) Also the door handle kept falling off to the ensuite. Minor annoyance
