Guests generally appreciate the stunning views from the bedrooms, the property's cleanliness, and its proximity to Dartmouth town centre. The cottage's charm and the inclusion of a parking permit are well-received. However, some guests note the lounge furniture could be more comfortable and the kitchen better equipped. Maintenance issues like guttering and heating are mentioned, but overall stays are enjoyed, with several guests expressing a desire to return.
The property is frequently described as clean, with specific praise for the bathrooms and bedrooms. However, a few guests noted areas that required deeper cleaning or attention, such as kitchen cupboards and communal areas.
The location is highly praised for its fabulous views and proximity to the town centre. The convenience of the parking permit is appreciated, although the limited access by car and parking challenges in Dartmouth are noted.
The bedrooms are considered comfortable with lovely views, but the lounge furniture, described as more suitable for a patio, detracts from the overall comfort. The kitchen is also noted as cramped when multiple people are cooking.
The property is well-equipped for a comfortable stay, but several guests mention maintenance issues such as guttering problems and heating inefficiencies. The lack of a hairdryer and some basic kitchen supplies is also noted.
Guests mention a welcome pack containing basic cleaning essentials and tea/coffee, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. The cottage was spotless, well-appointed and the minor issues from last time had been resolved. The views of Dartmouth are spectacular and we didnt want the holiday to end. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Gone are the home made cakes and bottle of wine. Cottage needs some work. Microwave fire risk (got very hot on the outside), fridge plastic shelf cracked (as it was last year!!!), towel rail in top bathroom never got hot (air locked?),not enough black bin bags and black mold in top bathroom.gutters blocked (rain water overflows onto bedroom window). Good location and view.
David
Fabulous views of the river from both main bedrooms. The welcome hamper was a nice touch with local produce. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
