Cobbs Cottage is a beautifully renovated cottage, stylishly furnished and equipped to the highest standard, with stunning views over the town and across to the River Dart. Patio doors feature in both the lounge and first floor master bedroom, leading to large decking areas with tables and chairs and wonderful views. This stunning three-storey property is ideally suited to couples, or families with older children looking for high quality accommodation with designated parking in central Dartmouth.
The front door leads into a lobby/hallway with level access to the living accommodation. There is a small cloakroom off the dining area. The hallway opens into a dining area with glass-topped table and leather backed chairs. The sitting room is stylishly furnished with a large sofa, leather armchairs, and has lovely views over the town and across the river beyond. A set of folding French doors lead out from the sitting room to the upper decking level. Also on ground floor level is a superb kitchen, well equipped and presented to a high standard with a beautiful oak flooring and under-floor heating.
On the first floor is the master bedroom suite with King-size bed with French doors leading out to a lovely decked balcony offering lovely views over the town and river and a further double bedroom with King-size bed. At second floor attic level accessed via a flight of narrow stairs is a twin bedroom with two single beds (recommended for children). There is a family bathroom on the first floor with bath, shower over the bath.
Outside is a spacious two-tiered decking with garden/dining furniture, steps lead down to a lower terrace with patio table and chairs. A designated parking space for one car is provided for the reserved parking car park (approx 10 mins walk from the property), offering guests the chance to explore the nearby Start Bay coastline and popular Blackpool Sands beach.
Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
