Lukesland Wing is a characterful holiday home resting near Ivybridge, Devon, set within 25 acres of renowned gardens in Dartmoor National Park. Forming part of the Grade II listed Lukesland House, built in 1862, this distinctive property blends heritage architecture with spacious accommodation, private parking, and a garden for outdoor enjoyment, making it well-suited to families or groups seeking a memorable Devon stay. Arriving along a tree-lined drive, the striking Gothic-style exterior of the main house creates an impressive sense of arrival. Guests are welcomed through a private entrance into a hallway where a cloakroom and utility space add convenience. The recently refitted kitchen and dining room form a bright and sociable heart of the home, styled with shaker units and centred around a movable island, offering a versatile space to prepare meals and gather together.
Upstairs, the generous sitting room provides an inviting setting to spend time together, complete with a woodburning stove, piano, and ample room for dining or games. Large windows draw in views of the surrounding gardens, enhancing the sense of space and connection to the outdoors. The bedrooms are arranged off the landing, including a king-size room, a family room with a king-size and additional single bed, and a twin room, each featuring characterful furnishings and outlooks across the established grounds. A family bathroom and en-suite shower room serve the accommodation. Outside, guests can relax in the seating area with outdoor furniture, ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or alfresco dining, while also benefiting from access to the extensive gardens.
A tea room on site adds to the setting, offering a pleasant spot to pause and take in the surroundings. The nearby town of Ivybridge provides access to shops and essentials, while Dartmoor National Park offers walking routes across Haytor Rocks, the scenic Burrator Reservoir, and woodland trails at Hembury Woods. For further exploration, head to Plymouth to discover the National Marine Aquarium, the historic Barbican, and waterfront views, or visit Totnes for its castle, riverside walks, and independent shops. Lukesland Wing offers a distinctive base for discovering Devon. Note: This property can be booked with ref. 976251, together sleeping up to 12 people.
